DEPENDING ON WHICH ARTIST YOU BOOK WITH PRICE VARIES, PLEASE REFER TO OUR SERVICE AND RATES PAGE, 2 APPOINTMENTS ARE INCLUDED, THE INITIAL AND A TOUCHUP APPOINTMENT 6 WEEKS AFTER.
How long does my hair need to be ?
-1/4 inch at least. But who’s measuring hair right? We recommend at least 2 weeks of no shaving to have the cleanest wax (meaning as little hair left behind as possible). Keep in mind though, that it usually does take a few waxes to get all the hair on the same cycle!
What is the difference between a bikini line & a bikini full?
-A bikini Line wax is the area right outside of wear your bikini (or underwear) would sit. (The sides and the top). A bikini full goes in a little bit further of where your bikini (or underwear) would sit. A bikini full does not remove an hair from the labia.
Is it ok to freshen up after getting a wax?
-Yes! Just be mindful of your shower temperature. Avoid aggressively rubbing the area or using any scented soaps or lotions that will aggravate your skin. Luke warm water will be just fine! After 24-48 hours you can resume to your normal shower temp!
When can i intimately show off my new bikini/Brazilian wax?
-We recommend waiting at 24-48 hours. (48 hours if it’s your first wax). This is because excessive rubbing and friction can cause more skin irritation on your already tender area. We also want to make sure you avoid any bacteria on the area while your skin is still fresh.
Can I still get waxed during my period?
Yes, it’s okay to get waxed while on your period! Although, you may be a little more tender than usual. We recommend taking an ibuprofen before your appointment to make you a little more comfortable!
I have a vacation/special event coming up & am new to waxing, when should I plan my visit?
-At least 2 weeks before the special event! That way your skin has time to get used to the process. We suggest coming in about 6-8 weeks before the event if it is your first time!
What should I wear the day of my visit (intimate waxing)?
-comfortable loose clothing. You’ll be more comfortable after your wax !
Can I go into a hot tub or take a bath after getting waxed (intimate area)?
-Try to stay away from hot environments such as saunas, hot bath tubs, or swimming pools for at least 48 hours. Hot bath tubs can cause irritation & infections, same goes for swimming pools.
How to handle ingrowns?
-avoid touching them. This can you make you prone to infection & scarring. If you are prone to ingrowns, talk to your waxing specialist so they can recommend a good exfoliating regimen. Even if you dont normally get ingrowns, try not to touch freshly waxed skin to avoid irritation or small pimples.
Can I workout after getting a wax?
-Try to avoid the gym 24-48 hours after a wax as sweat can irritate your skin
What about spray tans & waxing?
-Don’t plan a spray tan before your wax. That nice fresh tan will be waxed right off if you do so. We also don’t recommend spray tanning right after a wax as waxing can cause the tan to look patchy & streaky, since it removes the top dead layer of skin cells
-Try to wait 48 hours after wax to get a tan to be on the safe side. And apply sunscreen if you will be out in the sun
What if I get sunburned right before my visit?
-We ask that you wait until your sunburn is healed before you get waxed again to avoid any lifting of the skin. This also applies to rashes or any other skin irritations you may have.
Will hair grow back darker/thicker?
-No! Waxing helps the hair grow back finer & less coarse, making it easier to remove visit after visit! The more you wax, the less it hurts and the easier it gets!
Can I shave or turn between visits?
-Don’t shave or trim between waxes. Once you see how stubble-free you are after a wax you won’t want to. By avoiding shaving and waxing will help eliminate different growth cycles with your hair during your upcoming visits! If you feel like you need to shave between visits, booking appointments sooner will help!
Do men wax?
-Of course! Other than the Manzilian (male version of a brazilian) men also wax their eyebrows, nose, backs, & chests!
What if I’m taking medications?
-if you are taking medications, please consult with your doctor & let your service provider know. Taking antibiotics or topical acne medications are more likely to make your skin more sensitive and may cause your skin to lift.
Can I get waxed if I’m pregnant?
-Yes! Sometimes your skin may feel a bit more tender now that you are pregnant, but there is no harm done to your baby. Make sure to discuss this with your waxing expert so they can provide you with the best service!
